Xu, X., "A Case Report: Using Foot Reflexology to Cure Sequelae of Asphyxia with Buttocks Position Birth." 1994 China Reflexology Symposium Report, Beijing : China Reflexology Association, pages 33-34

A 19 year old female patient with decreased oxygen in the brain from asphyxiation for 20 minutes due to a breach birth, was given 80 minutes of foot reflexology 3 times a week. She had a weak immune system, weak digestion, constipation, weakness in limbs and barely completed primary education. After the sessions, she steadily improved, is healthy, strong and has no further diseases.

Foot reflexology was found to be effective for relieving patients suffering from being born by breach birth.
