Synopsis:

 
  39 cases, aged 49-58, with shoulder joint pain from 1-3 years were given foot reflexology focusing on the neck, thyroid gland, parathyroid, thoracic vertebrae, lumbar vertebrae, sacrum, shoulder and scapula reflexes with 20-30 moderate to heavy strokes. Toes were also rotated 20-30 times clockwise and then counter clockwise. Results: 100% curative rate with 32 cured and 17 with reduction of pain.

Conclusion:

 
  Reflexology was found to be effective for the relief of shoulder joint pain.
