Du, J., "Treatment of Vesical Calculus with Foot Reflexo-massage." 1996 China Reflexology Symposium Report, Beijing : China Reflexology Association, pages 56-57.
Synopsis:
A 66 yr old male with lower abdominal pain and ultrasonography confirmation of a stone after undergoing several operations for ileus, appendicitis, vesical calculus and prostatic hypertrophy, was given foot reflexology daily. Foot reflex zones indicated a large stone in the urinary bladder and sandy stones in the kidney and ureters. On the third day of treatment, the patient passed a milk-like urine which contained sandy stones. From then on, he passed urinary stones daily and had 6 more courses. He was so encouraged by the results that he continued with self reflexology to eliminate coral calculus from urethra.
Conclusion:
Foot reflexology was found to be effective in treating and eliminating vesical calculus (kidney stones)
