Synopsis:
158 cases, both male and female, ages 21-82, with lumbago from 2 days to 20 years were divided into two groups. Sixty-six cases, the control group, were given conventional tuina; and 92 cases, the treatment group, were given 30-40 minutes of foot reflexology daily for 10 sessions. The control group had 86% improvement and the treatment group had 95.6% improvement.
Conclusion:
Foot reflexology was found to be effective for the relief of lumbago.
