A 33 year old male patient with increasingly severe epigastric pain and discomfort for 2 years accompanied by acid regurgitation, nausea vomiting, and unresponsive to drug therapy was given foot reflexology. After the first session, the pain was relieved and he felt so comfortable that he fell asleep. After the second session, He had no more symptom-free after the second session.. Five additional sessions were given to strengthen the effect. He remained without symptoms and drug free for the next 2 years.

Foot reflexology was found to be effective for the relief of chronic superficial gastritis and duodenal bulb inflammation.
