Synopsis:

 
  A 61 yr old woman with a Bartholin's Gland cyst on the perineum and unilateral perineal pain was given 1/2 hour of foot reflexology on the whole foot. On the second treatment, a lump the size of a soybean was found on her left foot along the urinary bladder reflex. The patient refused surgical resection, she had problems moving and sleeping, and had high blood pressure from stress. On the third treatment, she was given 30 minutes of reflexology focusing on the urinary bladder reflex and the felt the cyst shrink. After the treatment, her blood pressure returned to normal, and digestion, urinary and sleeping were much better. Patient was taught self reflexology to prevent recurrence.

Conclusion:

 
 

Foot reflexology was found to be effective for the relief of Bartholin's Gland Cyst.
